Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Keepabley handles when you use the service, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Effective September 22, 2026
1. About Keepabley
Keepabley lets you submit photographs and optional information about a physical item. It uses artificial intelligence to assess the item’s visible condition, restoration potential, and possible cosmetic restoration steps. Keepabley focuses on cleaning, treatment, and cosmetic restoration rather than functional repair.
You do not currently need an account to use Keepabley. Keepabley does not currently offer paid subscriptions or process payment-card information.
2. Information you submit
When you request an assessment, Keepabley may process:
- the photographs you select or take;
- optional notes you provide about the item;
- answers to material or condition questions;
- additional photographs requested to improve an assessment; and
- whether you are considering buying the item through Marketplace mode.
Please do not submit photographs or notes containing information you do not want processed, including faces, addresses, documents, or other sensitive details that are not needed for the assessment.
3. How AI analysis works
Your submitted photographs and related item information are sent securely from your browser to Keepabley’s server-side service hosted by Vercel. That service sends the content to OpenAI, which provides the AI processing needed to create the assessment. The assessment is then returned to your browser.
OpenAI processes submitted content under its own terms and privacy practices. You can read the OpenAI Privacy Policy. Keepabley’s application code does not establish how long OpenAI or infrastructure providers retain submitted content or whether a particular provider policy permits other uses. Review the linked provider policy for current details.
4. Product analytics and Session Replay
Keepabley uses PostHog to understand how people use the product. Limited product-usage information may include page and activity events, whether an analysis started or completed, restoration-plan usage, repeat scans, Marketplace-mode usage, feedback selections, and general campaign attribution. Keepabley also uses Vercel Analytics for basic website traffic measurement.
Keepabley’s PostHog configuration is designed so that:
- uploaded photographs are not intentionally sent as analytics event properties;
- image URLs, filenames, and image metadata are not intentionally sent to PostHog;
- typed item descriptions are not intentionally sent to PostHog;
- AI prompts, AI responses, and restoration-plan text are not intentionally sent to PostHog;
- typed text is masked in Session Replay; and
- images, video, canvas elements, and file-picker content are blocked from Session Replay.
These controls are intended to limit captured content while still allowing Keepabley to study clicks, navigation, scrolling, completion, and abandonment. They are safeguards, not a promise that analytics technology can never capture unexpected information. Learn more in the PostHog Privacy Policy.
5. Browser storage and similar technologies
Keepabley uses local storage and session storage in your browser to support the service. Depending on how you use the site, this may include recent assessments and thumbnails, optional notes, assessment results, original photos needed during the current browser session for follow-up analysis, local activity events, scan counts, repeat-scan status, and temporary application state. Clearing site data in your browser may remove these records.
PostHog uses an anonymous identifier and is configured to persist analytics information through local storage and cookies so activity from the same browser can be associated over time. Analytics providers may also use similar technologies necessary to measure site use. Keepabley does not use these tools to require your name, email address, or account registration.
6. Information collected automatically
When you use the site, Keepabley and its service providers may automatically receive technical and usage information such as browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, interactions, approximate or IP-derived general location where available, IP address, and diagnostic information. Keepabley does not manually add precise location information to its analytics events.
7. Advertising and campaign attribution
Keepabley may run advertising campaigns. Standard UTM parameters, such as campaign source, medium, campaign, and content, may be used to understand how visitors found the service and which campaigns are effective. Keepabley does not currently implement Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, TikTok Pixel, remarketing pixels, or other cross-site advertising trackers in the application.
8. How information is used
Information is used to:
- provide, refine, and troubleshoot item assessments and restoration guidance;
- maintain security, prevent misuse, and diagnose service failures;
- understand feature usage and improve the MVP; and
- measure traffic sources and campaign performance.
9. Sharing and service providers
Information may be shared with providers only as needed to operate Keepabley, including Vercel for hosting and infrastructure, OpenAI for AI processing, and PostHog and Vercel for analytics. These providers handle information under their own terms and policies. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or in connection with a business transaction.
Keepabley does not sell personal information.
10. Data retention
Some assessments, thumbnails, notes, activity records, scan counts, and identifiers remain in your browser until they are replaced, cleared by the application, or removed through your browser settings. Original photos retained for follow-up analysis are stored in session storage and normally remain until the browser session ends or site data is cleared. Analytics and service providers may retain information according to their own settings and policies.
Keepabley does not promise a fixed deletion schedule for content processed by its server-side, hosting, AI, or analytics providers. Retention practices may change as the MVP develops.
11. Security
Keepabley uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including keeping the AI provider key on the server and limiting analytics content. No Internet service or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
12. Your privacy choices and rights
You can limit browser-stored information by clearing cookies and site data or using browser privacy controls. Doing so may remove recent assessments and may affect how the service works. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or limits on certain processing of personal information, and to appeal a response.
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights concerning access, deletion, correction, and certain disclosures or uses. Keepabley does not sell personal information. To make a request, email info@keepabley.com. Keepabley may need enough information to verify and respond to the request.
13. Children’s privacy
Keepabley is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact Keepabley so the issue can be reviewed.
14. International users
Keepabley and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred and processed internationally as necessary to provide it, subject to applicable law.
15. Third-party services
Links to, and processing by, third-party services are governed by those providers’ policies. Keepabley is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services.
16. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Keepabley changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when changes are published. Material changes may also be highlighted through the service where appropriate.
